Prayer to become a follower of Jesus

If you have chosen to become a follower of Jesus, here is a suggested prayer that you could pray. Feel free to make up your own, including asking for forgiveness for your sins and committing your life to Jesus.

Dear God,

Thank you for loving me and wanting to have a relationship with me, and thank you for your son Jesus dying on the cross.

Sorry for the things I have done wrong and for ignoring you.

Please forgive me and be Lord of my life. I will live your way from now on.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
