IF my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

We NEED to pray!

“IF my people…” means the outcome is dependent on IF we pray.

We need to develop a culture of prayer in our lives and churches.

Prayer drives back the enemy.

Prayer is the difference between us fighting for God and God fighting for us.

Prayer escalates everything.

Prayer connects us with the Holy Spirit.

Prayer releases blessing on our ministries.

Prayer must be accompanied with action.

Without prayer there will be no renewal of the church.

Without renewal of the church there is very little hope for the world.

Start…. pray until you pray….don’t quit.

Stretch out what you are doing already. E.g. If you are praying for 5 minutes a day, stretch it to 10.

Get addicted to prayer.

In your church:

My house will be called a house of prayer. Isaiah 56:7

Develop a culture of prayer.

If your vision is big enough, you will need to pray!

Prayer needs to be top priority of the church.

It needs to start with the leader and leadership team.

Train people how to pray because many don’t know how.

No-one can say, “Prayer is not my gift.” It is something all Christians can do.

Have many ‘opportunity on ramps’ for prayer: prayer during services, pre-service prayer, start every meeting with prayer, prayer nights, half prayer nights, prayer groups
