Every Christian needs to be an ambassador; have non-Christian friends and share with them using a conversational approach with an ear open to the Holy Spirit. Christians need to be caring ambassadors: the helpful caring concerned ambulance attendant, not the judgmental policeman or the bystander not doing anything.  Ask for more boldness like the early church did (Acts 4).  Keep persisting - keep looking for lost people. Prayer is so important - and be willing to be the answer to the prayer. Pray to the Lord to send out labourers.

"How can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard?" (Rom 10:14) and "faith comes from hearing the message" (Rom 10:17).  The comfortable belief, "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary, use words" is not Biblical.

The main person needs to use the main platform to make the main thing the main thing, meaning the pastor needs to preach to mobilise individuals to do God's mission.  They need to model evangelism. They also need to carry an expectation for people to become Christians. What is the gospel temperature of your church? Why is it like that? Have you got ideas to increase it?  Having different people share every three weeks about how they tried to share their faith helps create a culture of sharing faith.

It is important for churches to reach out into their geographical community because research has shown that 60% of people do not have a church going friend who might share their faith with them.  It is noticeable worldwide that God is leading pastors to think about church unity geographically; i.e. in their local areas.

Don't lose ground: some cities can't have nativity scenes in shop windows or in Christmas parades.  In one town the churches couldn't provide the Christmas carols that year, so the Brass Band took over and Christian carols have been left out ever since.

ANZAC Day is an opportunity to share the gospel with non-Christians using the parallel of 'laying down life for others'.
