Christmas for the City 2017

in Christchurch

Christchurch Christmas for the City was fantastic!  Fifteen thousand people meandered through the Ara Campus celebrating the Christmas story, possibly for their first time ever.  The kids loved the horizontal bungy stretch, bouncy blow up, patting farm animals, throwing baby marshmallows at their sibling's cream covered head, making Christmas crafts, sliding down the monster slide and watching the daring comedian, Josh Grimaldi, throw his diabolo crazy high and attempt courageous tricks on his unicycle.  There was a wide array of food to purchase to cover dinner and sugar cravings.  A variety of groups and churches kept two stages busy, entertaining the crowd with music and carols.  Voices Co , an acapella group, were ACA Amazing just like their website says they are!  27 churches / Christian organisations made the event possible.
