Gems from 2019’s NZ and Beyond
Christchurch leaders gathering
The key to revival is PRAYER. Matthew 6:16 says “When you fast.” Fasting is important.
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Unity and prayer is the seedbed of revival – within and between churches. The Church of NZ can become a force to be reckoned with.
Christians radically 'sold out' for Jesus, choosing to be set apart, is vital. Confess every known sin, remove every doubtful habit, obey the Holy Spirit’s promptings, go public with your witness for Christ.
Churches and church leaders need to give evangelism the priority it deserves because NZ needs saving. Change from sitting in the promises of God to standing on promises of God and reaching out.
Be resilient. Learn to live with contrast. E.g. purpose and pain, fruitfulness and frustration, joy and sadness, breakthrough and silence.
Stay living in revelation. Lift your expectation for revelation.
Use whatever platform God gives us to tell others; we don’t need a pulpit. E.g. our workplaces, our neighbourhoods, time in hospital.
Share the news of Jesus wherever you go, like Acts 8:4. Position yourself for open doors.
Christchurch = Christ + Church. The devil hates both. Let’s make Christ known more than ever before. Let’s make the Church stronger than ever before.
