Dessert and Encouragement night for Kids' Leaders July 2016

Kid’s leaders from across the city met and shared ideas for how to present the Gospel to children.  Marty Schieb from OAC had an exciting suitcase full of ideas, and leaders were grateful for the 10 week Gospel devotions booklet based on the Engel Scale shared by Westside IFG.  It was really encouraging to hear the successes of the first half of the year; kids making decisions, families being impacted, parents asking faith questions, young leaders being trained, camps being lots of fun, God moving in the spaces being orchestrated.  And hearing about the ‘normal’ kid’s ministry stuff which has so much impact and keeps kids coming: devotions being shared, leaders impacting kids, praying with kids, teaching kids to pray, games, fun and activities.  It was great listening to leaders share ideas and resources as others voiced their challenges. The meeting was described as "very helpful, very informative".  The next meeting will be held at the end of January.  Any kids’ ministry wanting support, feel free to email the Network email address.
